Sr. Teen 2 Camp: LIFE

I was just sitting around doing nothing, so I decided to actually post the promised post. Here it comes. Are you ready? Didn't think so. But it's coming anyway...

Monday, July 28, 2008:

2:00 a.m.- I thought someone broke into the house. It was just Andrew roaming around. I got paranoid none the less. So in my confused state, I figured that if I slept next to my bedroom door, no one could get in. Smart, huh?

4:49 a.m.- I hear my alarm clock. My alarm clock was actually set for 4:21, I just didn't hear it until 4:49. I got ready and was waiting patiently for Mike to pick me and bring me to the church.

6:00 a.m.- We started heading towards Lake Geneva! Our car was the party car. Mike was driving, I was sitting shotgun (I has a gun), and in the back was Jeremy, Brooke, and Mark. I'm going to stop with the times. I'm just gonna summarize the rest of the week with pictures. Okay? Okay.

We got to the camp and found out that the girls were staying in the Lakeview Center. We were kind of disappointed because we usually stay in Lady Land (the crappy dorms that are fun for some reason). We were sad until we became extremely happy when we saw that they remodeled the center and found out that they added bathrooms and two showers to each room. Let's just say we went around screaming with joy (literally screaming) for about ten minutes. And we also found out later that week that Barb Dean personally requested that a few more bunks be added to our room so that we all could room together :D We all thanked her a bunch.

The days pretty much consisted of sitting under our tree (it became our tree by the end of the week. Everyone just knew that it was our tree) either playing music or just hanging out. Sometimes the hanging out consisted of cartwheels and human pyramids.

The nights consisted of going to Geneva Java and getting all hyped up right before lights out. We also went around with the guitar and sang to people. Yup.

Here's a little story about a girl named Brooke. Brooke was having a good time hanging with her two good friends Jenni and Mike. They were laughing and having a good time.

Then Brooke started feeling pains in her side. "It hurts really bad," she told her friends. But her friends just kept on laughing and joking. She said that she was serious. They paid no attention. Then her appendix burst and she was rushed away never to be seen again.

Obviously I'm kidding. What really happened was Brooke went to the nurse, got some drugs, laid down for a bit, and was fine.

Pink team dominated at Ulitmate Frisbee, which was pretty much the only thing we dominated at. We ended up getting 7th out of 8th place. BOOYA! haha.

Some of us played...

And some of us didn't, for obvious reasons. (Because we're too cool. Definitely has nothing to do with our physical inability to do sports...)

Here's the Mountain Dew bottle that Mike threw and hit me in the eye. Thank you. Thanks for that.

If there's one thing I have learned at camp, it's that boys are strange. And really cruel when it comes to pizza.

It's tradition, we always take a picture at the "gate".

Little did we know that that was the last time we would ever see most of these people. They got hopelessly lost and we never saw them ever again. All that was left was Mike, me, and some boys.

This sign was a revelation...
Of course I was kidding about never seeing them again. They eventually found the DIRECTION they were LOOKING FOR and made it back to Hibbing. Granted it was three hours later than intended, but they got there.
As always an eventful year at camp. I didn't even begin to scratch the surface of what went on there. You'll just have to get the stories out of me in person.
tootles! :)

Hey, that's a lie. On the way there it was Mike driving, me in shotgun, then you right behind Mike, then Mark in the middle, and Jeremy behind me.....and I won't say why I remember that! But you were shotgun on the way back :)

oh holy crud, you are totally right. weird. I remember that now. I was actually a little confused. I remembered that you were in the car but i couldn't picture you in the back seat. Well, that's why. Thanks for the correction.
